At Strip Curtains Direct we are incredibly proud of the average lifespan of our PVC Strip Curtains - we design them to last. However, there are occasions where they will get scratched or damaged, and so there are things that you can do personally to help extend the life of your strip curtains. Here is our guide to maintaining your strip curtains:
Choose the right grade
A quick look at our website will show you that we have over ten different categories of strip curtains, including pedestrian curtains and anti-insect kits. So, before you click 'add to cart', you need to make sure you have taken the environment you will be placing the curtains in into account, as well as any other critical information which may affect your choice of curtain. For example, if you are looking for strip curtains for a cold store, then you will need to install our polar grade strip curtains to ensure it can cope with temperatures of below zero. If you are unsure which type of curtain is right for your situation, then please call us on 0333 999 7171, and we can help to guide you.
Install them correctly
All of our strip curtains kits are supplied with our unique stainless steel hanging system for ease of installation - although we appreciate the fact you have to install your own PVC strip may be a daunting idea for some. That is why our hook-in rail hanging system is simple and easy to use - with strips being able to be hooked on and off in seconds. As our fixings are made from stainless steel, they can be installed internally or externally, and are also safe for catering environments. Our customers frequently contact us to tell us how easy they are to install, so we can guarantee you will be able to do it if you follow the enclosed instructions.
Cleaning
We cannot stress enough how important it is to keep your clear PVC door strips clean - especially if they are installed in an environment where there is a lot of traffic. Any dirt or debris that can prevent people from being able to see through to the other side of the curtain can cause a health and safety risk. PVC strips can quickly become dirty if they are used every day but keeping them clean is not a tedious process; all you need is some warm water and a soft cloth to wipe them down, as often as possible really. This will not only ensure your strips appear fresh but will help them to last longer.
Replace them when necessary
If the worst thing happens and your PVC strip becomes damaged, there is no need to panic - you don't need to replace the entire curtain. Strip Curtains Direct offer replacement strips which means no matter which grade of PVC you have purchased we can offer you the replacement strip to fill the gap. Simply check out the 'replacement strips' category on our website or give us a call and we can quickly identify what you need.
