It is made from heavy duty plastic with a steel handle, and rolls on two 200mm wheels. An 8-point adjustment system lets you increase or reduce the rate at which salt or seed is dispensed, so you can lay a light covering on footpaths or a heavier layer where ice builds up.

What is the difference between this grit spreader and your larger salt spreader?
This push grit spreader is smaller and lighter, which suits footpaths and entrances. For car parks, access roads and large areas, our 25kg commercial salt spreader has a bigger hopper, pneumatic wheels and a wider spread.
Can it spread seed as well as salt?
Yes. It can dispense either salt or seed. Clean the hopper when switching between the two.
How do I control how much salt is spread?
Use the 8-point adjustment to set the dispensing rate. Lower settings suit a light covering, and higher settings suit areas where ice builds up.
