The coronavirus outbreak has had a huge impact on the world of business, and this can be seen most clearly in the huge percentage drop on the Dow Jones on March 16th of this year. The drop of 3000 points was the worst drop since Black Monday of 1987.
This pandemic is forcing businesses to cancel projects and events and is leaving some business owners wondering how solid their business really is.
Here at Strip Curtains Direct, we know the pandemic is going to affect us - it is a global event after all. But it does not have to break us. We are working hard, along with our sister company worXmart, to adapt and innovate in order to not only survive but thrive.
We are still open for business and will continue to trade - but we also want to help and support other businesses to get through this COVID-19 situation. The products we sell, both online at Strip Curtains Direct and through worXmart are essential to many businesses - and we want to continue serving our customers.
Of course, the health of our employees is paramount, so we have taken additional precautionary methods to ensure their safety. Our office staff are working from home (where possible) and our production staff have had their shifts split so they can adhere to the Government guidelines on social distancing. This may have an impact on our delivery times, so it is something to keep in mind.
We are, of course, keeping our premises hygienically clean and ensuring employees are wearing gloves throughout the whole manufacturing process. We have also replaced strip curtains in our warehouse with our Antimicrobial PVC Strip Curtains, where needed. These are specifically manufactured with hygiene control in mind as they contain additives that actively kill bacteria as well as preventing the growth of biofilm, fungi and mould. These strips are made with the same PVC as our super polar grade kits, and so can withstand temperatures from -55c to + 25c making them suitable for a wide range of uses.
